DANGER OF REMAINING THICK ICE MELT - ICE MASS MAP
New Publication here: Map from University of Colarado clearly shows that the thick ice (that which we discovered had shrunk to half thickness by early 2000s) has now shrunk to a strip alongside Greenland, only held back from complete melting by the rapidly sliding glacial ice coming into the sea. This explains why sea levels are now rising three times more rapidly than the historical values. Our gigantic protective thick Arctic ice mass has nearly all melted without adding anything to sea rise! The rapidly diminishing mountain ice is what the University of Colarado want to protect. With every year that passes mountain meltwater that supplies rivers in summer diminishes into the sea. This and more land ice adds to sea levels which will continue to rise even more rapidly. As the planet warms due to the missing ice the emergency gathers pace. Or will the Gulf Stream shut down and life as we know it in Northern EU and US disappear under new thick ice? VESTAS WIND - BETTER GOVERNMENT ACTION NEEDED
What is needed from government are ORDERS for the wind turbines and an emergency action to deploy these turbines on externally SUPER-INSULATED buildings to get existing buildings rapidly down to carbon neutral. Yet there is still no subsidy announcement that we have heard of for this superinsulation in spite of sending the details of our successful pilot over a year ago. See Every Town an Eco Town - here.
